| Bio: | The title of my LJ is Lina's fault as so much other stuff too. =P She called me Queen of Awesomeness when I gave her a gift. And she stayed with it...*glomps* The Antarctica title was added almost immidiately but it has a different origin. Josefin called me a penguin when da Inas were on tour, over a year ago. O.O Shush... Apperantly my walking style reminded her of penguins...after walking 22km with a heavy backpack...;) After returning, I became a third culture adult. "A person who lives internationally later in life - perhaps for university - and comes back changed - the so-called Third Culture Adult - has been named in the literature a "Global Nomad" or "Global Citizen." I do like to think of myself as a Global Nomad. =D "Identity is something quite nebulous. Often it is spoken of in a manner that suggests that there is an objective reality to identities, and that there are rules for constructing one like there are building codes for houses. One might think, for example, that one cannot claim that one is from another country other than where one was born. Identity is not as simple as that. Identity cannot be calculated by a computer with sufficient background and demographic information. Identity is formed and collected over a lifetime, and what goes in and what doesn’t, is decided largely based on feelings. Where one sees connections to others, places, and objects, one identifies." – Unknown "You get a strange feeling when you're about to leave a place... like you'll not only miss the people you love but you'll miss the person you are now at this time and this place, because you'll never be this way ever again." Azar Nafisi Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. - Mark Twain "Life is not measured by the amount of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away." "Grief can take care of itself, but to get the full value of a joy you must have somebody to divide it with." ![]() | |
